In 1920, Adolf Dassler joined his brother Rudolf Dassler in the small town of Herzogenaurach, Germany, to start a business that initially focused on producing sports shoes. The brothers named their company "Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik" (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory). However in 1949, the brothers parted ways and 'Adi Dassler adidas Sportschuhfabrik' was officially registered.

From here the rest is history. Adidas has become one of the world's leading sportswear and athletic shoe manufacturers. Adidas has continued to innovate and grow, donned by both fashionistas and athletes alike.
